Keyboard Shortcuts

Menu means Command on macOS and Control on Windows and Linux. Session Editor action shortcuts can be reassigned under Edit > Preferences... > Shortcuts. The lists below show the defaults.

Session and Record Actions

  • Menu+S — Save the session.
  • Menu+N, Menu+D, and Menu+Delete — New, duplicate, or delete the current record.
  • Menu+Shift+C, Menu+Shift+X, and Menu+Shift+V — Copy, cut, or paste a record.
  • Menu+[ and Menu+] — Previous or next record.
  • Control+Shift+P and Control+Shift+N on macOS, or Alt+Shift+P and Alt+Shift+N elsewhere — First or last record.

Search and Playback

  • Menu+F and Menu+R — Find, or Find and Replace.
  • Menu+Y, Menu+L, Menu+Shift+Y, and Menu+Alt+Y — Play the current segment, speaker turn, adjacency sequence, or a custom segment.
  • Control+Space — Play or pause the current segment while the Transcript editor has focus.

Editor Views

  • Menu+1 — Transcript.
  • Menu+2 — Record List.
  • Menu+3 — Participants.
  • Menu+4 — Tier Management.
  • Menu+5 — Media Player.
  • Menu+6 — Speech Analysis.
  • Menu+7 — Timeline.
  • Menu+8 — Session Check.
  • Menu+9 — Search.
  • Menu+0 — IPA Dictionary.
  • Menu+Shift+1 — Syllabification & Alignment.

Installed plug-in views use Menu+Alt plus a number, in their order in the right view strip.

Transcript Display

  • Menu+= and Menu+- — Increase or decrease the Transcript font size.
  • Escape — Close the inline Find and Replace panel when it is open.
