Editor Layouts
A Session Editor layout records which views are open, their dock positions, and view-specific display state. Open the layout menu from the button near the bottom of the left view strip or from the View menu.
Manage Layouts
- Reset layout — Return to the application default, with the Transcript in the central work area.
- Load layout — Apply an available saved layout. Select -- User Library -- to open the folder that contains your layouts.
- Save current layout... — Enter a unique name and save the current arrangement as a reusable layout.
- Delete layout — Delete one of your writable saved layouts. Application-provided layouts, if installed by a plug-in, cannot be deleted here.
Layout Used When Opening a Session
In , choose whether a newly opened editor uses the layout of the last editor, the previous layout saved for that session, or the default layout. A configured custom layout can also be used when available.
Phon saves the previous layout when an editor closes or its session is saved. Session-specific view state is stored with the project.
